During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 consumer finance apps on the Android platform in Ghana exhibited diverse patterns in weekly downloads and active users. Here is a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

Fidelity Mobile Banking from Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited saw its weekly downloads peak at around 5.7K during the week of October 11, before gradually declining to approximately 2.4K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users showed a mixed trend, starting at about 26.3K in late September and fluctuating to end the quarter at around 24.6K.

SG Connect by Société Générale African Business Services had a notable spike in downloads, reaching nearly 19.3K in the first week of December. However, this was followed by a sharp decline, with weekly downloads dropping to around 650 by the last week of December.

SC Mobile Ghana from Standard Chartered Bank PLC experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 3.9K in early November. However, the downloads sharply decreased to single digits by the end of December. Despite this, the app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users peaking at around 91.7K in late October and ending the quarter with approximately 74.8K.

Ecobank Mobile App by Ecobank displayed a relatively stable download trend throughout the quarter, with numbers hovering between 1.4K and 2.4K. The app's weekly active users remained consistent, starting at about 15.4K in late September and ending the quarter at around 14.7K.

RepublicMobile Ghana from Republic Bank Ghana Limited, which launched in mid-October, experienced a surge in downloads, peaking at approximately 6.1K during the week of November 22. However, this was followed by a significant drop, with weekly downloads falling to single digits by the end of December.
